The Oak Ridge Woman’s Club (ORWC) and the Oak Ridge Recreation and Parks Department
will hold the annual Christmas tree lighting and reception on Friday, December 2nd at 6:30 p.m.

Participants should gather at the Secret City Commemorative Walk on the east side of the Oak
Ridge Library parking lot. The ORWC President Sarah Craven will be joined by Mayor Tom
Beehan to conduct the brief ceremony. A reception will be held in the Civic Center gymnasium
immediately following the tree lighting.

Refreshments will be provided by members of the ORWC Civic Affairs Committee: Evelyn
Moyers (chair), Sarah Kolb (co-chair), Virginia Brock, Betty Eason and Barbara Wantland.
The Christmas Tree Lighting and Reception has been an annual ORWC event since 1989 and
done with the cooperation of the Oak Ridge Recreation and Parks Department.
