The Oak Ridge Police Department and the Oak Ridge Neighborhood Watch Program (ORNWP) will be hosting our 1st Annual 2015 Party in the Park (formally known as National Night Out). The event will take place on Saturday, October 17th from 2:00 – 6:00 pm and will be held at A.K. Bissell Park (behind the Oak Ridge Civic Center).
Party in the Park’s focus is Crime Prevention, Safety, Health and Wellness. This event is designed to:
• Celebrate the partnership between the community and the police department.
• Heighten crime and drug prevention awareness.
• Generate support for and participate in local anti-crime programs.
• Provide information to help in creating a more sustainable environment
• Generate interest in leading a healthier lifestyle
• Demonstrate crime prevention skills, safety techniques, relaxation and wellness exercises
All OPRD personnel are cordially invited to attend this festive event. Party in the Park is a community gathering which will include family-friendly activities for the entire family. We will offer games, information booths, various demonstrations, food, non-alcoholic beverages, and music. Several companies and agencies are sponsoring this event, so everything there will be free. Be sure to bring your family and friends - it's going to be a blast for all ages!
