The City of Oak Ridge Public Library is offering free events open to the public in the month of May:
Affordable Care Act Tuesdays at the Oak Ridge Public Library
From 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., on the second Tuesday of every month, trained federal navigators will be available at a table in the Main Library to provide one-on-one assistance for those signing up for health insurance under the Affordable Care Act Exchanges. Four in five Tennesseans who receive coverage also receive financial assistance. The first ACA Tuesday will be Tuesday, May 10.
Call (844) 644-5443 or visit
http://www.getcoveredtenn.org/
to book an appointment with your navigator at the Oak Ridge Public Library.
Come To a College Fair at Your Library!
On May 25 from 12:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m., come to the Oak Ridge Public Library Auditorium for the East Tennessee College Alliance (ETCA) college fair. The ETCA can help new high school graduates and working adults arrange flexible class schedules and financial options that make earning a college degree more achievable than ever. Regardless of the college degree you are seeking, ETCA can help you achieve your goal.
The ETCA is an alliance of most local community colleges. This program is free and open to the public. Participants do not have to be library members or Oak Ridge residents in order to attend.
These events are free and open to the public. For more information on this event and other library programs, please call or email the library at (865) 425-3455 or
