Senior Center Offers Course in Conversational Spanish

October 12, 2016

The Oak Ridge Senior Center will soon be offering a beginning course in conversational Spanish, but space is extremely limited.

The main objective of the program is to introduce students to basic conversational Spanish while broadening their knowledge of other cultures. Students will be asked to work on language acquisition by reinforcing the weekly lesson with at least fifteen minutes of practice each day. Bilingual on-line resources will be provided.

In a fun, educational and hands-on atmosphere, students will be motivated to acquire language skills as they incorporate learning Spanish into their daily activities.

The class will be taught by Señora Granado, a native Spanish speaker with over 20 years of teaching experience. The cost will be $50 for a 10 week session. The hour-long class will meet every Tuesday, beginning October 18, at 11:30am.

Space is limited to 15 students. In order to register please contact the Oak Ridge Senior Center at (865) 425-3999.
