Community Meeting to Discuss New Oak Ridge Preschool

Jun 26, 2017 - A fourth public forum-style meeting to discuss the new Oak Ridge Preschool will be held at Scarboro Community Center on July 11. This meeting is the last step in the conceptual design process.

Fall Softball & Kickball League Registration Underway

Jun 23, 2017 - Team registration for the City of Oak Ridge Recreation & Parks Department’s 2017 fall softball and kickball leagues is now open. Co-ed and men’s softball leagues and a co-ed kickball league will be offered during the season.

New Exercise Class at Senior Center Begins Next Month

Jun 22, 2017 - The Oak Ridge Senior Center is partnering with Pierce Physical Therapy to sponsor a free exercise class for anyone age 50 and over. The class will be held on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 11 a.m. beginning July 6. Space is limited.

City and DOE Agree to Long-Term Water Contract Extension

Jun 16, 2017 - The City of Oak Ridge and the U.S. Department of Energy have reached agreement for a long-term extension of a contract in which the City provides for a continuous supply of potable water to DOE sites in Oak Ridge through June 2027.

Jun 16, 2017 - Two potential site design concepts were presented at a community meeting in May, along with a general concept for the preschool building's design. Community comments have also now been compiled for review.

Jun 10, 2017 - The public should be aware they may get calls from local phone numbers with a 425 prefix and title of "CITY OF OAK RIDGE." This call IS NOT from the City, rather it is a scam which utilizes "spoofing" software.
