Oak ridge public library now offers downloadable eBooks, digital audiobooks AND streaming videoS.
Best selling and classic titles available anytime, anywhere.

The Oak Ridge Public Library expanded its service with downloadable eBooks, Digital Audiobooks and Streaming Videos.  Library card holders can check out and download digital media anytime, anywhere by visiting http://orpl.lib.overdrive.com/

The service allows patrons to browse the library’s website, check out with a valid library card, and download eBooks, digital audiobooks, streaming video and periodicals to PC, Mac, and many mobile devices.  Before downloading the first time, though, patrons will need to install free software to their devices.  For digital audiobooks and streaming video, OverDrive Media Console will be available as a free download from the website.  To read eBooks, some patrons will need to install Adobe Digital Editions which is also available as a free download on the website.  Titles can be enjoyed immediately or transferred to a variety of devices, including iPad, Kindle, NOOK, and many others.  Some audio titles can also be burned to CD to listen to on-the-go.  Titles will automatically expire at the end of the lending period, which means there will never be any late fees!

OverDrive is the leading digital media platform for libraries and schools. OverDrive delivers secure lending platform for 30,000 libraries, schools and retailers worldwide.  They support all major computers and devices, including iOS, Android™ and Kindle®.Founded in 1986, OverDrive is based in Cleveland, Ohio.  Visit their website at www.overdrive.com.
