When?

Mornings, afternoons, and evenings when the library is open and you are available.

How Often?

1 or 2 hour shifts, usually once a week, but may vary as needed.

Doing What?
  • Shelving books and audio-visual materials
  • Cleaning books and audio-visual materials
  • Shelf reading and straightening
  • Helping process new materials
  • Assisting in the Oak Ridge Room
  • Assisting with the seed library
  • Assisting library programs
What are the benefits?

Volunteers completing 20 hours of service at the library in a calendar year earn the following benefits in the following calendar year:

  • Do not pay late fees, except for DVDs
  • Do not pay for interlibrary loans
