Built in 1970, the Oak Ridge Recreation Center is a 39,242 square-foot building consisting of a large meeting room, kitchen, game room, an Olympic-size pool, a full-size gymnasium, and soon our new Conference Center.

The building is situated near the city center in a 41-acre park area. The facility is available for rental for business as well as personal events. The Shep Lauter Room gym is available for free to play basketball as use permits. The indoor pool is open for public use on a varying schedule and an outdoor entertainment pavilion is used for concerts, such as Summer Sessions and other events.

When entering the Recreation Center, children aged 14 and under must be supervised by an adult aged 18 and over at all times.
